Retired Trustee Jim Steigert was a wonderful person who was dedicated to Algonquin. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family and friends.

From Village of Algonquin: It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of retired Village Trustee Jim Steigert.

Steigert served on the Algonquin Village Board for 22 years, from in 1999 to 2021. Prior to his role as Village Trustee, Steigert served on the Village of Algonquin’s Economic Development Commission for seven years and also volunteered with many community organizations that shared his passion of service to the Algonquin community.
