From the Village of Algonquin: The Village of #Algonquin has a scheduled prescribed burn for Friday, April 7, for the following locations: Algonquin Commons Detention Area; Grand Reserve Prairie Area; James B. Wood Park Detention Area; and Winding Creek Riparian Corridor.

During the burn, you may notice smoke and flames in the area. Please do not be alarmed as this is a planned and controlled burn that will help stimulate new growth and promote the health of our #prairie.

For your safety, please stay clear of the burn area during the operation. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain and protect our restored natural areas.
