Village Board Meeting - Tuesday, Dec. 5

Village Meetings - Tuesday, Nov. 21st

The Village Board has two meetings scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 21st starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Board Room, 2200 Harnish Drive. The Village Board will be voting on items from the previous Committee of the Whole Meeting agenda. The Committee of the Whole (COW) Meeting will take place afterwards. COW agenda items include special use permit for Moes Motor Sports to operate a minor vehicle repair facility at 1500 E. Algonquin Road; consider a restated & amended Intergovernmental Agreement with SEECOM for emergency communication services; agreement for the final design of biosolids handling equipment replacement; and agreement for demolition of the existing drive-thru & underground tunnel at 221 S. Committee of the Whole - Tuesday, Nov. 14

The Committee of the Whole Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the following agenda items: Police Pension Compliance Report; Actuarial Funding Report for the Pension Fund contribution; resolution for property tax levy; vehicles in surplus; agreement regarding Algonquin Shores lift station upgrade; and resolution amending Villageโ€™s wetland fee in lieu for wetland mitigation. The Village Board will be meeting on Tuesday, October 3rd starting at 7:15 p.m. for the Liquor Commission. Cooper's Hawk, Pickle Haus and Portillo's have all submitted paperwork for a liquor license. The Village Board will then meet to vote on items from the previous Committee of the Whole (COW) meeting. New business includes the acceptance of conveyance of real property from CarMax Auto Superstores, Inc. and Pulte Home Company to the Village (open space land). Village Meetings - Tuesday, Sept. 5

The Village Board will be meeting starting at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5 in the board room at 2200 Harnish Drive for a public hearing on Special Service Area(SSA) numbers 6-9. (A SSA is only a safeguard if a developer or homeowner's association doesn't maintain their specific parcels. The Village would have the right to collect a special tax from that particular area to pay for the maintenance of the parcel.) Wynnfield Naturalization Project Public Meeting - Thursday, August 17 3-5 p.m.

From the Village of Algonquin: The Village of Algonquin has received grant funding through the ComEd Green Region program to complete a naturalization project of the Wynnfield stormwater basin located northwest of the intersection of Wynnfield Dr. and Richmond Ln. The proposed project will remove invasive species from the site, and will create additional pollinator friendly habitat by installing native grasses and flowers within the basin. This public improvement is necessary to help ensure the quality of the Villageโ€™s stormwater runoff and ensure compliance with various state, federal, and local regulations. The Village has scheduled an on-site meeting where Public Works Staff will be available to answer questions from residents relating to this project. Staff will open the session with a presentation at 3pm and will remain on site to answer questions until 5pm.

Village Meetings - Tuesday, August 15

The Village Board will be meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15th to vote on items from the previous Committee of the Whole meeting on August 8th. (Amend Ch 33 of Liquor Licensing; Ordinance abating a portion of taxes levied to pay principal & interest on certain general bonds; and ordinance prohibiting use of groundwater as potable water supply under the area surrounding 609 S.
